    The awards for innovative projects supported by EU cohesion policy shows the results of EU funding, by putting the spotlight on the most inspiring and innovative European projects co-funded by the Cohesion Policy. The candidates application were submitted last February and the name of the finalists have just been published.

  • 13. 07. 2015 EU Commission plans to select the new European Capital of Innovation 2016

    The European Commission has launched the second edition of the European Capital of Innovation award. The new Capital of Innovation will receive 950.000 euros to scale up its innovation activities. The award is addressed to cities over 100.000 inhabitants from EU Member States and Associated Countries to Horizon 2020, the European research and innovation programme.

    37.5% of the EU population lives in border areas, along some 38 internal borders made up of geographic, linguistic barriers often bearing the scars of European wars. EU invests to tackle the main cross-border challenges. This article tap into the Czech Republic, regarding the potential of the Czech-Polish border regions, Czech-Slovak regions and Czech - Germany (Saxony, Bavaria regions) as well as CENTRAL EUROPE programme.

    Sharing borders, growing closer. The aim of the campaign is to communicate the achievements of European cooperation across borders to the general public. The local events showcase how cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation projects are reducing obstacles and disparities, while at the same time increasing cultural understanding and efficiency between European regions.

  • 15. 06. 2015 Interreg Europe adopted by the European Comission!

    The new interregional cooperation programme – Interreg Europe – has been officially approved by the European Commission on 11th June 2015 in Brussels. The Interreg Europe programme financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) aims to improve the implementation of regional development policies and programmes, in particular programmes for Investment for Growth and Jobs and European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programmes.
