Municipality of Ústí nad Labem

Ústí nad Labem is the 7th-most populous city in the Czech Republic. It has over 100 000 inhabitants. It is situated in a mountainous district in North-West Czech Republic and, besides being an active river port, is an important railway junction. The city today is very modern and provides all kinds of services for its citizens, relevant are mainly the cultural activities and the educational activities – in Ústí there is a University and several theatres and museums.

The municipality already took part in several European projects, among others the PREVENT project financed by URBACT programme.
