The project Senior Help was founded in 2010 and its mission is activation, educational and social services for seniors and other individuals. The provided services are highly professional because these services are provided by persons with both human attitudes and positive relationships to seniors and expertise. The organisation offers help to seniors and also their relatives.
One of the key activity is activation in sense of training of mental and physical stimulation for higher quality of their life. The composition of this training depends on actual psychical and physical state for example after heart attack, stroke etc. Senior Help also provides services for individuals and public sector. Senior help participates in educational programmes and runs several courses and educational projects.
Senior Help specializes in the following areas of education:
- financial literacy,
- leisure time and hobbies,
- memory training,
- safe Internet,
- languages,
- art performances
- different other workshops for seniors.
Daily problems of seniors are regularly shared at special Senior Camps, Lukiada sport games and daily activities at the senior centre in Prague.
Senior Help has expertise in running international projects. Senior Help can build especially upon the project experience in the project “iFiscus”. The project “iFamily Budget Management”, acronyms “iFiscus” runs with support from the European Commission, under LLP – Grundtvig Programme in 2013; project number: 2013-1-BG1-GRU06-00113.
The project stipulates a partnership of seven organisations from different European countries including: Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia. The consortium includes adults education providers, vocational training organisations, development agency, consultants and non-profit foundations experienced in EU projects, particular in working in the field of trainings and IC Technologies of adults.
The main aim of the iFiscus project is to provide the necessary support in management of the Family budgets and to increase the financial awareness to adult people to teach and encourage them to plan their personal budgets effectively especially in the situation of financial and economic crisis. This aim will be accomplished through the creation of a common web page that enable easy access to personal expenditures and savings and provides useful guidelines, templates and tools.
