Information for TUL students
Basic conditions for graduates applying for a practical internship abroad:
The student must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral’s degree programme at the time the placement is confirmed. The internship has to be related to the field of study.
The internship takes place after the graduation (i.e. the intern does not have the status of a student at the time of leaving, but is already leaving as a graduate).
A student may be a citizen of any country.
The approximate duration of an internship is 3 to 4 months up to maximum 12 months.
Information about the receiving organization abroad:
For an internship you can go to the EU countries + Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway.
The work placement is a full time job according to a pre-agreed work plan.
The internship has to take place either in an enterprise, training or research center, or in another organization.
The internship must not take place in EU institutions, organizations managing EU programs and national diplomatic missions (embassies, consulates) of the student’s home country abroad.
The graduate will receive a scholarship through the European Development Agency, s.r.o.
The scholarship is provided as a lump sum per month of the internship abroad; the amount of the scholarship depends on (as well as for ERASMUS study stays) the destination country. The amount of scholarships is listed here.
Students should be aware that the scholarship may not cover all their expenses during their stay abroad; it is only a contribution. The scholarship covers 3 months of chosen internship; the rest of expenses are covered by student.
Selecting the host organisation:
The student finds a suitable institution by him/herself, corresponding to their field of study (a company, office, NGO, etc.), where the internship can be organised individually. After that you will enter information about the organization into the application form.
How to apply:
Fill the application for an internship in the online application form here:
- Short cover letter indicating the selected receiving organization / general cover letter (in case that the graduate does not have a selected receiving organization)
