What if social integration began with empowerment?
The Skills4Life Project, funded by the Interreg Danube Programme, aims to support young people leaving institutional child protection systems. Often overlooked, these youths face significant barriers to employment, education, housing, and healthcare. Skills4Life addresses these challenges directly, providing comprehensive and practical solutions.
The project centers on enhancing the socio-economic integration of care leavers through tailored educational programs, mentoring, and employment initiatives. It aligns with the Danube Region Programme’s commitment to a socially inclusive region, focusing specifically on education, lifelong learning, and employability.
What We Offer:
- Innovative Training Programs: Tailored programs to develop key skills for employment and independent living.
- Mentoring and Counselling: Personalized guidance to build confidence, resilience, and motivation.
- Youth Empowerment Network: A transnational community connecting youth, policymakers, educators, and businesses.
- Employment Opportunities: Direct engagement with employers through job fairs, internships, and job-shadowing experiences.
- Policy Impact: Jointly developed strategies and action plans to improve leaving-care policies across the Danube region.
The project emphasizes cooperation among 12 partners across 9 countries, pooling expertise from public institutions, universities, businesses, and NGOs. This transnational collaboration ensures effective, inclusive solutions tailored to regional needs.
