The Skills4Life project produces a series of research reports and deliverables throughout its implementation, providing evidence-based insights into the needs and challenges of young people leaving institutional care across nine countries in the Danube Region.

D1.1.4 — Assessment of Needs and Challenges: Czech Republic This report presents findings from surveys with care leavers, employers, and practitioners in the Czech Republic, examining preparedness for independent living, employer attitudes, and systemic gaps in aftercare. It offers evidence-based recommendations for training, mentoring, housing support, and cross-sector coordination.

D1.1.5 — Joint Report on Youth Needs and Challenges across the Danube Region This transnational report consolidates findings from nine partner countries, identifying shared trends and systemic failures. It highlights the “cliff-edge” transition at age 18 and sets out strategic priorities, including institutionalised mentorship, housing-first approaches, and early practical life-skills training.

D1.1.6 — Country Reports of Youth Inclusion Policies This report analyses the Czech child protection framework, support measures for care leavers, and ongoing reform challenges. Combining policy research with stakeholder survey data, it identifies key gaps in aftercare, housing, and practical skills support, and informs the Skills4Life training programme design.
