The non-profit organisation Forkys was established in 2010 as a project focused on social work with children and youth. The main aim of the organisation is to prevent negative social-pathological effects and working with disadvantaged groups in the field of labour market and employability. Forkys actively works with children and youth, mainly from children homes and shows them a perspective way of spending free time. The organization coordinates many activities as seminars, courses, local and educational events in the region. Forkys cooperates with pedagogical and psychological staff from schools, free-time and counselling centres from Central-Bohemian region.
The mission of organisation is to coordinates activities and HR specialist which will prepare youth for labour market, high level of interpersonal and core competences. Forkys also working with employees from region and helps to create jobs positions for target groups.
Forkys participates in many project with residental children homes – Dětský domov Klánovice, Dětský domov Ledce and Dětský domov Kralupy nad Sázavou. Forkys also collaborates with the Municipality Kladno and educational institution CAVI o.s.. The CAVI aims at achieving its objective of developping the conscious cultivation of individuals education and at correcting the current supply of educational services in Czech Republic and at the regional level by taking into account the current trends and demands of the market environment.
The organisation realized many project from state and municipality funds for Central Bohemian Region and Pilsen region. Forkys has participated in project co-funded by European Social Fund and state budget of the Czech Republic. The project is called – The Educational and motivational program for children who are leaving orphanages in order to labor market and its mission is to encourage a disadvatneged groups from children homes between 16 – 26 years.
